These clinics will be for anyone interested in being vaccinated as the restriction regarding using the H1N1 vaccine for High Risk Groups only has been lifted. Clinic participants are encouraged to download and fill out their consent forms and insurance information forms prior to arriving at the clinics to expedite their clinic experience. Copy machines will be made available to copy insurance cards.
SCHOOL-BASED H1N1 VACCINATION CLINICS ARE COMPLETED - All school-based H1N1 clinics have been concluded. Children aged 6 months through 9 years of age are encouraged to get a second "booster" dose of vaccine no sooner than three weeks after their initial vaccination. Parents/guardians are encouraged to take their children to their primary care provider or to one of our General Public clinics for their second dose. Parents are also welcome and encourage to be vaccinated along with their children for complete family protection.
If you are bringing young children 6 months through 9 years of age who have already received their first dose of H1N1 vaccine – please bring their vaccination history card with you to the clinic. Only children 9 years of age and younger require two vaccinations. Everyone 10 years of age and older only require one vaccination.
Yavapai County Community Health Services provides 24-36 business hours notice of cancellation for each clinic after assessing vaccine inventory and determining when inventory is insufficient for a clinic. Please check this website for the very latest update on vaccine availability and clinic schedules.
Thousands of doses of vaccine have been and continue to be distributed to area clinics, pharmacies and health care providers. You may wish to check with your health care provider to see if they have vaccine available.
